I agree to a certain extent that if replicating an upper middle class lifestyle is the parenting goal this can be successful. The big concern I have with that parenting model is antedoctoally these seem to be the people I have seen fall the

Neither do I, I don’t want to overstretch but I’ve seen a lot of blowback on GDPR lately and actions like this are what I think will get the US there eventually too.

Seems like there are some legitmate reasonings in this thread. I also wonder how much of it is just not wanting to explain making it potentially more difficult for a user to log in. Sort of like how credit card providers could make things m

Agreed, my hope is that it isn't a foreshadow for other industries. Once breaking regs and cheating (whatever that looks like for a given industry) become part of the revenue forecast. It’s pretty hard for market participants to compet

If you owe the bank $10,000 the bank owns you. If you owe the bank $1,000,000 you own the bank. Probably not entirely accurate for this situation but I would still love to see the risk calculations for allowing a ~mil in student loans.

Geniune question is anyone at liberty to comment on Google culture? Google has always been a sort of grass is always greener aspirational employer to me but lately I have to admit externally they don’t look as good.

I don’t disagree at all on the size but I wouldn’t classify it as a mansion just a big house. As a Utahn who works remotely with lots of people from the coasts. I feel its my duty to mention Utah isn’t as cheap as they think it is ha.

It’s also not a low cost of living state either (not SV but not the midwest). That’s a $400K townhome with shared walls on both sides and a $225 HOA. Here is a milion dollar detached home in that area: https://www.zillow.com/
