You might want to give Emblem a shot. It's similar to HAML or Jade but compiles to Ember/Handlebars-compatible templates: http://emblemjs.com/

Honest question: is Hurd used in production anywhere? I wasn't aware it was still being actively developed.

Hey, I used a modified version of this pattern without knowing what it was called a few months ago: https://github.com/thomasboyt/Noted-App/blob/master/app/asse... Really useful when you have lots of keybindings.

Awesome! Any idea when GitHub Pages will start using 1.0 (or are they using it already?). Really want to start using that gist tag ASAP (copy-pasting the <script> embeds is a bit of a pain).

Erm, it's not really that exclusionary. It's just small because it has like eight people on staff and is still in its early stages. I mean, I'm in Hacker School this batch (which is sadly ending this week) and I live in a hostel in Bed-Stuy

I really liked playing around with Quintus. It's one of the newest, and feels the most like modern JavaScript development. Almost like Backbone for games.

I think the most important takeaway from this is how malleable and extendable Ember Data and its RESTAdapter are. It doesn't always (or, to be honest, almost never) works out of the box, but it's very easy to tweak. Anyways, as for the way

I've been working a bit on Ember Data documentation (particularly filling out the API documentation), and would love to hear the specifics of what you felt wasn't clear! I know that the documentation right now is really lacking, but it's

Hard work, and a massive amount of inherited money. I actually really like Spider-Man for that reason. Yes, he had the luck to be bitten by a radioactive spider, but he also built a ton of his gadgets himself (in the comics, for example,

I don't get why gittip lets me donate "per week" but not a one-time thing. I don't do recurring donations, especially something as often as per week - could totally see myself forgetting about it before the next week.

Cool! Mine is a bit more complex for a few reasons, mainly the usage of Firebase's authentication API, since I wanted to show a very basic example of "real world" usage. Still, thank you for posting for comparison :)

Well, Angular and Ember actually do have substantial differences - they have surprisingly different architectures and general philosophies driving them. Unfortunately, that seems to lead to a lot of acrimony between them. I wonder if a big

As someone who has used D3, I think you are vastly underestimating the audience of D3 users who would happily pay for a far easier solution ;) (do agree with other comments that per-dev pricing is a bad model, though)
