You can always apply to triplebytes and get exactly such position :) <disclaimer: my affiliation with triplebytes is that they've rejected my application twice - possibly cementing parent suggestion that I'm underqualified to i

It is rude. People put lots of effort into resumes. But it's ruder to reject a candidate based on age, gender, martial status, education or lack thereof or doing non sw jobs in the past. I always talk on the phone before and that'

I don't do much hiring, but when I do I make an active effort to avoid reading candidates resumes. I've found it's not possible for me to enter an interview with an unbiased mind having read a resume.

#DJI Re: hiding docs : Luckily, this can be easily done by putting the documentation behind a login screen... consider making your documentation a PDF file... DJI's release notes for the DJI-SDK are only available for DJI register

I'm in agreement with you that docker on windows is less enjoyable an experience. btw enabling VT-x is required for other tools as well (Android Studio for device emulation).

For this kind of project the Dockerfile is an executable README . It's a reproducible and predictable installation guide.

[1] You've basically listed the very reason I'm using docker. It makes my code deployment agnostic. Bash "setup" files? been there. I write Dockerfiles. I think that's the only thing I'm strongly opinionated

Friendly suggestion: 1. Add the backend under same repo. 2. Add a root docker-compose.yml instead of sending interested party to "install backend". root | - frontend | - Dockerfile | - ... code | - R

The most frustrating part of learning new tech stack is the implicitly assumed tribal knowledge. ex. s.o answers start with np.yada without the import numpy as np part.

Nitpick: I'd rather use the python -m pytest way than modify sys.path (AKA "the django way"). Modifying sys.path is an ugly hack which makes python look like some... idk. matlab?

The "hire for" part is pretty straightforward - when you interview, you'll have candidates with zero idea what your company is building. They won't care either. Come Q time they'll ask about tech stack, code review,

All true known and well established. But homeschooling requires a parent to sacrifice anything else and be devoted for that. Not an easy decision. It's much easier to find a good school!

In my case I got zero positives. It's easy to build an accurate classifier if recall is ignored. Not a single candidadte completed the task perfectly. Not hiring would be a failure for me.
