That's quite an opinion you've thrown there. I run OS X and refuse to use anything but Vim--but I'm not going to try convince developers to switch. I think it's a little ridiculous (even though I'm sure it happens) to switch to an operati

I remember trying this editor out when I was looking for something good on Windows before I switched to using Vim. It was well thought-out; very TextMate-like. How does this not completely kill their business? Are they really expecting eve

Much like some of the other Vim users who've commented here, all I can say is, "So what?" I don't know if I'd call this "power user". Unless I'm mistaken (going on replicating this functionality in Vim), any beginner with a bit of determi

I still prefer Gist (gist.github.com) for things like this--I like the fact that the code sticks around.

I enjoy Backgammon and Checkers, Scrabble and Monopoly. My current affair is with Rubik's Cubes, though--but that's not the exact question here.

No--not only are the faces fixed, but the orientation of the 12th corner and 8th edge are dependent on the previous 11th and 8th corner and edge respectively. The quoted number is known to be fairly standard amongst cubers. http://en.wiki

Very clever--it's a nice way to integrate fact-searching across many different websites. The interface is effective and doesn't get in the way. I like the branding you've created for yourself as well. The avatar of the Factobot incorpora

That's probably because they can transmit in proper HD. Also the "liked" metric is just a way of favoriting--I'd assume any sponsor scouring the web for stuff like this would understand that.

It's quite a leap to say that students don't have to worry about paying for food or rent. I would go out on a limb and say millions of students do just that.

I say yes. You could flag all accounts registered with a .edu email address and send out a confirmation email at the start of traditional semesters--i.e., September and January. A graduate shouldn't have an email address by then. Once it

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I wish I could "watch" threads for comments. I use a Wordpress plugin called WP-Footnotes ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-footnotes/ ) that handles everything. It has a few issues, namely

Where do you write for? Your own work, as a solo artist/band? Or for a soundtrack or something? This is something I've been wanting to get into and would love more information about.

I prefer Transmission's UI for 1, 2 or 3 torrents, but any more than that and the window becomes cluttered. uTorrent is unparalleled in number-of-torrents to memory-footprint ratio (at least, in Windows).
