Yes! However, I'll say this: If you're using a new language that you're trying to learn, don't also try to do it for time. That is to say, take your time, it doesn't matter if it takes you a few days to do a singl

There's also the fact that midrange GPUs are now the price of a full console, if you can even find one for sale, and there's no immediate end in sight to the shortage.

We're veering pretty far off-topic, but, as a mechanical engineer working in research, yes. Develop a new ceramic material for advanced turbofan engines? Not tech. Web front end? Oh yeah, tech.

There's this PCB design course that was posted on HN a couple weeks ago, teachmepcb.com, so I'll be spending a couple hours on that. Other than that, I need to replace all 3 smoke alarms in the house that are expiring soon, and re

Well, since GP said "other than coins", I interpreted it to mean "uses of cryptography other than cryptocurrency (coins)". But, well, I'm getting downvoted, so probably not.

I worked at a place that was paying almost 20K CAD per seat per year for CATIA and some add-ons (PDM, FEA, etc). I hear ANSYS, if you get a few products, quickly runs up in that range also.

Nim took some inspiration from the Pascal/Modula/Oberon family, notably for its type system. It had an original goal of having a small and simple core, with a powerful macro system allowing extensions where needed, but the languag
