It's "Rainbows End". The absence of the apostrophe really is important, since it completely changes the meaning of those two words.

Add me to the list of folk wanting to search for multiple/combinations of words. Two would be sufficient for me. There are a lot of noun + verb combinations (and perhaps noun plus adjective) that make for a good base for a domain name. Rega

I'm not biased one way or the other, although I find nginx far easier to work with than apache. And like many here, I've been working with apache forever. 1. I have no problem consolidating logs. I don't know your particular use case, thoug

FYI: I get "Connection Timeout. Etsy.com is unreachable. Try again." in Firefox 9.0.1 on Ubuntu, but all is good in Chrome. I can image using this to gather ideas for gifts, and presumably buying a few (if I was US-based). Nicely done.

Frankly, that's silly. It costs £18 to register a company online directly. You will be sent all the appropriate forms and documentation in the post/mail. If you are at all concerned, simply fill in the form that declares the company as dorm

I got "Kickstarter for natural disasters", which certainly has a number of ways it could go. While "Color for art" seemed a little harsh. Not sure about "YCombinator for Car Repair", but how about "StackOverflow for Car Repair"? Okay, back

Bringing it closer to home, and admirably demonstrating my pedantry, every other thread on HN contains, to me, nonsensical extensions to words, such as: "build out" for build, "abstract away" for abstract, and so on, there are hundreds of t

I switched to duckduckgo (ddg) earlier this year. For a while, I'd occasionally use google, but now I only do so out of curiosity to compare results. ddg has improved enormously since I've been using it. I highly recommend giving it a go.

4 hours average over the past year, ime. There is no reason it should take longer. Some of the delay is in the email cross checks with the domain owner. It does not takes a day, let alone days, to move a domain, even when retaining DNS info

Good piece. It's well worth watching Terry Pratchett's "Choosing To Die", about assisted suicide, for an argument of one solution to this dilemma. I'm not sure there's currently a better way to hack death.

Also unavailable in the UK. So, presumably, this is US-only. <ironic> Definitely one way to stop online piracy. Hopefully, it'll be set free on youtube within 24-hrs. Funny old world we live in at the moment.

Interesting observation. I almost never post now. I never used to fight, intensively or otherwise. Nor do I now. I spend far less time on HN now than I did when there was a mechanism to easily determine the quality of the debate.

You're in good company. Mikhail Botvinnik, many times world chess champion, was known to watch tv programmes about chess. The theory being that you can never reinforce the fundamentals enough. I concur, in any field of study.
