This may be slightly off-topic, but it's also important. 911 is not there to help you. You need to know how to help yourself. My story - Interstate 880 in the East Bay, Fremont, CA. Not a desolate stretch of highway, not in the middle

Clubbing baby seals would be ideal. Think scandalous messages, photos, habits, locations. Blackmail. Relationship ending. Outing sexual preferences. Horrific shit.

To steal a line from Mulder (The X-Files) "And they call me paranoid." Glad my phone, and my messages are encrypted. Filevault on my laptop.

Fascinated with this type of geologic activity? Check out Lassen National Park. Or actually, please don't -- because it's the most pristine and beautiful national park in California that isn't overrun with tourists.

The iPhone 6 handily beats your nexus in camera functionality and battery life, not to mention a host of other more "soft" metrics.

My father taught me to never eat at a restaurant that had photos of the food.

Doesn't surprise me. The thing is, with real POS integration (which most companies don't have) -- you could do all of this from the customer's phone rather than a stupid piece of hardware at the table.

Been using this for awhile. Deactivated it because it's a huge security risk at border crossings.

They're the only company that has the technology to parse / analyze datasets like the ones mentioned in the article.

I cannot stress how much exercising to exhaustion daily (read: Crossfit) and eating healthy (Slow Carb / Paleo) impacted my depression. Please try them before you medicate.

While it may be difficult to do, I highly recommend anyone in tech to go visit a farm supply store and wander around. Bags -- BAGS of antibiotics available for purchase, to be mixed into feed. Buy local, buy sustainable, buy pastured meat.

Hehe, love this. Ticketmaster deserves every ounce of scorn, similar to Comcast, ATT & VZW

Wasn't there a leaked FBI PowerPoint that very explicitly stated that they can't intercept iMessages? (and it was a point of frustration)

You're not the only one. I'm sorry, but the Android issue has devolved into a holy war but... .. support is terrible on the Android side. Really terrible.

Opt out. Just opt out, every single time. I've flown every month this year, sometimes multiple times. I opt out every single time. More irritating is the randomness of metal detectors vs. scanners. It's the luck of the draw.

Is there any interest in "this is how I got fucked" at a startup type article, or is it so common that it doesn't matter? I have an experience...
