Wow, that’s a lot of extrapolation from one comment. First of all, TheSpiceIsLife is Tasmanian according to their bio. Second, even if they were American to then assume that all Americans can’t pick up on irony or sarcasm because one person

I don’t know the specific place you’re referring to, but at least all the restaurants I know of with Poke in the name are referring to Hawaiian Poke [1]. Although it’s influenced by Japanese cuisine, it has absolutely nothing to do with Pok

I read the GP as saying that SA GPS was originally made available as a result of the KAL007 crash, so presumably they didn’t have access to GPS at all on the flight? Then much later the SA restriction was removed, unrelated to a plane crash

My understanding is that by paying $10/month for Eats Pass, you get free delivery on orders of $15 or more. What this is showing is that if order total == $15.00, then Eats will subtract a penny from the total, forcing you to get anoth

Heh I assumed this would be about passwords too. Even knowing what it’s about now my brain still insists on parsing it as 5 disparate words.

As a disclaimer I haven't read CODE, even though it's been on my list for a while (sounds like I ought to prioritize it!). From my understanding of the style I believe The Gene: An Intimate History by Siddhartha Mukherjee is a sim

Good stuff, like the idea of 1 day projects. In my experience the tracks I’ve actually finished are always the ones that came together pretty much in a day. Otherwise they get lost to time.

Dabbled in electronic music production and DJing for a couple years now. Here’s one of the recent tracks I’m proud of, a remix of a friend’s track: https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/htq1K4ENhfKDsgVn9 (ambient deep house or some

Is anyone aware of an open-sourced codebase that uses a highly restrictive standard like this? Probably more like likely just plain MISRA, since anything developed by Lockheed using this doc would be classified I'm sure. I've seen

Definitely worth noting the year, but I’d be fairly surprised if the standards for real-time avionics software changed much since then. I’d guess they still stick to a small subset of the Goliath that is C++

I'd imagine if you were going to invest in a 4K projector you'd still want a drop down screen unless your walls are perfectly flat white and non-textured. Definitely agree it would be nice to have a hidden TV though :)

Transistor, also by Supergiant Games, has this same effect for me. Highly recommend both. Haven’t gotten the chance to play their new game Hades yet but I imagine it’s on the same tier.

Torture chambers are nothing new, unfortunately. While still completely disturbing, if anything I’d say this setup was relatively mild compared to what you might’ve seen in medieval times or the Inquisition.

Not sure the comparison to race is either fitting or appropriate here. Becoming more old undoubtedly has a negative effect on performance/productivity at some point, I don’t think the same can ever be said for becoming more black.
