I think it’s a lack of uniform culture that makes it difficult for movements to succeed in the US. Combine that with demagoguery and other fear tactics used by politicians and it slows progress to a halt.

I'm 22. This has been talked about my entire life. Progress on this has been glacial, if there's been any at all. At some point, enough is going wrong with this country that there is going to be a mass of young and angry protesto

I'm sure it will have some impact, but a school that refuses to increase student body size at the expense of plenty of people trying to get in is disgusting to put it lightly. Not to mention their promulgation of a legacy system, which

Shoulders and arms as well. Never understood why men can’t wear short sleeve button ups in an office that requires dress shirts. Or shorts.

I’d absolutely pay for some features of a smart washing machine, like a way of telling whether there’s a load currently running. I live in NYC where my building has one (non-commercial) W/D set for ten residents. Climbing up 6 floors w

You don’t think they were motivated by the cost of return processing and wasted fulfillment usage? All of these things are significant costs at the scale of returns that Amazon receives.

Their program for Sephardic Jews was far more open to abuse than the golden visas ever were. From having looked into it, the wait times for appointments were insane. I can’t imagine having tried to do it.

Car culture is massively subsidized in America. Why are we subsidizing (overwhelmingly wealthy) owners of EVs? Can I get a tax credit for an e-bike?

America's immigration system is in desperate need of reform. The green card "diversity" lottery is stupid and outright discriminatory. I've considered emigrating from the US to some EU members, and while it isn't ea

Good question. My elementary school/middle school had Macs. Even as a young child, I thought the appropriation of funds for that seemed wrong. I can’t think of a legitimate reason a school district needs luxury computers for children

I don't think you know much about how Detroit collapsed if you're saying that. While crime and public safety have become issues, I think most of the blame can be assigned to police too lazy to do their jobs.

I'm in NYC and my odds of finding a craft beer that isn't an IPA (or possibly sour) are slim to none if I'm not at a beer bar like Proletariat or Burp Castle (two random examples). I've managed to find one brewery I real
