Their shareholders never wanted AI. Their shareholders wanted MSFT stock price to go up.

Easily explained: when times are tough, delivering growth naturally is hard. Squeezing the customer is the lowest hanging fruit. Sure, long term reputation is severely damaged, but why would decision makers care? Product owners interests ar

So, it is "buy made in US products or face sanctions" now? This will end well, I bet.

You are not supposed to treat it as a gospel, following every guideline. Instead, it is a collection of ideas presented to you, so that you can decide if you want to use them (or not!) in your day-to-day work. In general, software developme

Because a lot of people are still in denial, not believing this is a plausible scenario, just like they were in denial that a large war might break out in eastern Europe "because we don't really do wars anymore". Worst part i

You should practice your trolling skills. You are being way too obvious. At least, I hope so, because if you actually believe this, then this is something only a professional can help you with.

This has been going on for a while. A year or so ago I remember Tailscale was blocking downloads of their applications from Russian IPs. HTTP 451 means "unavailable for legal reasons" so I imagine this is Tailscale trying to cover

It is the same approach as declarative UI programming like SwiftUI or QML, but with an extra GUI abstraction on top of it. An artifact of this GUI-driven development process (like Xcode or Glade) is still a file with some declarative markup

You make two short-sighted assumptions: 1. "Nobody compiles a kernel these days". Sure, maybe not for daily use for most, but lots of people do for work and experimentation. Also, Gentoo. 2. "Everybody runs a modern CPU"

It is a challenge to deal with software that is not common, but that may be a sign that they trust you to handle it. You do not give a barely-competent junior tasks like that, you would trust it to someone who has what it takes to dig in. A

I wish more people gave a shot at browser implementations. You see a lot of comments that this in a herculean task, and maybe it is, but it's not _that_ bad. You don't have to implement all of the functionality of modern web brows

This is hypocrisy and a dangerous mindset. "A few misguided people do things we don't like? Throw the entire country under the bus!". How can one hope for an open web and advocate this kind of mass censorship at the same time

Standard config and actual use are very different things. The first one implies adequate performance for most use cases, while actual use implies adequate performance considering current use case. This tool seems to be analyzing current use

Right off the bat, I'd recommend adding a prompt if the window has any user input to prevent fat-finger tab closing (and therefore losing all work). Alternatively, consider using service workers.
