The Swiss do have a lot of guns at home. However, you cannot carry (or even transport guns that are not discharged). Just take them at a shooting range - a popular pastime for Swiss people.

There are barely any civilian gun markets outside the US. US is really really unique in their relationship to guns.

Yes. Exactly. This is how it _should_ have been done. Also probably easy enough to encode as quantum superpositions.

To clarify: initially, the first web browser evolved from a SGML-based documentation browser at CERN. This was the first vision of the web: well-structured content pages, connected via hyperlinks (the "hyper" part meaning that lin

I don't understand the point. The entire raison d'être of this project is that you self-host it and don't pay money for S3 and control your supply chain. If you are denied this possibility — it is much easier just to use S3.

Ahem. Some people never heard of immigration/emigration? (The system is valuable for adults too, if some of your relatives live in a country which blocks Whatsapp and other voice calling apps, like Russia or China).

While I am all for ICEBlock, I am not sure about this one. Is doxxing protected by the first amendment?

Ah, the company where the models are unusable even with Pro subscription (start to hit the limit after 20 minutes of talking), and free models are not usable at all (currently can't even send a single message to Sonnet 4.5)...

I love it too, but what game developers never have, never will and probably even never should — is discipline

Absolutely not a problem, in fact, I enjoy this. But asking game developers for "discipline" is akin to asking frontend developers for forward compatibility - simply not in their culture.

Well yes, the code I didn't wrote (because I was 3x slower) surely has no bugs.

I like modern C++ much better than Rust. I am 3 times more productive in it and don't have to fight the compiler for hours. And RAII is a simple idiom that prevents 95% of actual problems.

Modern Fortran is quite easy. It is learned overnight by most physics students. At this point, it is more a fast compiled DSL for numerical computations (like MATLAB but _much_ faster), than a universal programming language.

Discipline? In gamedev? The industry which famously modeled trains as hats and was proud of it?

Just try and calculate. The rich are rich, but there are too few of them. Even $1000 UBI (which is not enough for anything) is like $3.2 trillion per year. All the rich taken together do not earn this much.

Hunger is easy. It is housing, medicine and education that are unsolvable. And no, even if you skin all the rich and put all their money to UBI, it will only last a year or two (you can take Excel and calculate). The bulk of income and taxe

UBI sadly is purely a fantasy. We don't have money even for retirement funding, which shows cracks in every country. And UBI is basically a lifetime pension.

There is no such thing as "secondhand ADHD", just as like there is no secondhand autism or secondhand broken legs. ADHD is a chronic, genetically determined, serious, incurable and sometimes fatal disease (about 6-8% suicide rates
