This is kind of old...version 2.0 of raphael is currently in development at https://github.com/DmitryBaranovskiy/raphael/tree/2.0 and the current stable version is 1.5.2.

I suppose it depends on what you're using ruby for. I use it for long running processes like rails apps so the jvm startup time really doesn't matter. And jruby has support for c extensions that use ffi.

Would have been nice to see the jruby boot tests using nailgun ( http://kenai.com/projects/jruby/pages/JRubyWithNailgun ) to remove the jvm startup times from the results.

I wonder what kind of latency hit you get from routing your requests through a proxy and more importantly how long the polling delay of the BRIDGE requests are.

And for those using nginx use this nginx.conf (read the comments for all the details): http://brainspl.at/nginx.conf.txt

It'd be nice if Cherokee had a "Cherokee In Production" section that listed a couple companies/websites that use Cherokee. Benchmarks are nice but I'd rather see it in action.

I love nginx, but one thing that I wish nginx could do is be able to enable/disable modules without having to recompile. It's annoying having to recompile nginx whenever a new version of passenger is released.

It'd be nice to see something like this done for linode and rackspace as well.

How do people handle including this javascript within an IE conditional statement in rails? Is there a way to handle it with rails helpers or do people just add it to their views manually?

It's nice to see linode's library finally catch up to slicehost's articles. For a while it was really bare but now I prefer it over slicehost as slicehost articles is starting to become cluttered with all the old distro specific categories.
