I have used the same mobile number for about 20 years, and always answer my phone when it rings. I would say I receive perhaps 5-10 robocalls per year. It ain't everybody, but it is a big problem. One piece of anecdata I'd note is

Found comment via CMD-F for "ely" - because these pics look a LOT like what is depicted in the film "Elysium". I do not recommend it, FWIW :P

How many spam calls are folks averaging per day? I probably get one (1) every 3-6 months, and I answer calls from unknown numbers without hesitation. I've also been using the same mobile number for more than two decades.

This is easily the easiest piracy situation I've ever seen: if you had an unmodified Dreamcast, a CD burner, and broadband your only steps were to pirate DiscJuggler, then the games themselves. I knew many people with Dreamcasts in thi

Hardest, IDK. Most clever, the first that springs to mind is a power supply unit (PSU) replacement on an old HP server. It went down over the weekend, and HAD to be back up. It also had a proprietary pin setup with more than the standard AT

Related to the OP, I anecdotally have an acquaintance that is a bike messenger in the UK, who second-hand anecdotally reports that everyone who does it is an ostensible model of fitness until they 1) get hit by a car or 2) die at 50 of lung

I love the concept, but no way would I try to pull it off in 99% of the USA. I know a lot of road biking, bike to work, etc. enthusiasts and every damned one of 'em has some horrific hit-and-run story :-/

Hidden information is the definition of unintuitive. "Easy once you get the hang of it" is the definition of unintuitive. Snapchat has six main screens: home, west, north, south, east, and east-east. There is no indication that th

I really can't get over how poor I find Snapchat's UI/UX to be, and I don't _think_ it's because I'm old. But I second-guess it.
