Visa and Mastercard are cards owned by the banks. They take a cut mostly because they can, but also because the infrastructure involved to process a transaction isn't free. For what it's worth, non-bank cards like American Express take a la

Looks like it's founded by one of the founders of YouNoodle, which had similar foundations in big data crunching. Is this a rebrand? A new company based on similar technology?

Cool analysis here. I think it's a bit too superficial to serve as the last word, though. If I were the sound engineer on this type of album, I definitely wouldn't worry about autotuning parts where only one vocalist is singing. With enough

Dunno if this holds up for others, but Bing is substantially faster than Google's homepage to load, even with all of the crazy graphics... Impressive.

Not true. Calculus would be the same (a radian is a radian). sin(pi + x) != cos(x) in the new system, though.

Here's a fun factoid: your iPhone 3G (and mine) will totally miss out on iOS4's multi-tasking. If Apple is better than Motorola/Verizon in terms of keeping older hardware up-to-date, it's not by much.

Isn't the majority of the challenge in nice notation similar to typesetting with text? The difficulty is in making it look nice, not knowing what data you're attempting to display. I should think you could encode pitches, start times and du
