Yes, this is a very big problem especially for startups. Ex: Let's say I set up a nice startup that receives attention from an investor who purchases a 10% stake in my company for a million dollars. My company is now worth 10 million "marke

What sort of ultra-geek uses that sort of setup? The current generation of that notebook has a processor that runs at less than 1GHz! The only reason he gets away with it is that he mostly does mail on emacs from console. It's too minimalis

You're right. I just found the whole article rather poorly thought out when compared to the articles that I usually find posted here and was a little irritated. Could have explained why that concept won't work rather than just abuse. 1. How

1: Indian Government must encourage piracy. 2: Internet enlightens people. 3: It is in the interest of a large organisation to keep people in the dark (like governments in third world countries) If 2 & 3 are correct, how will 1 ever hap

We both made the mistake of giving them both numbers. In retrospect, that was a bad move. Now, I can't even change it because my account is closed permanently and there's no way for me to contact them.

Ha! This is nothing. I actually know why my adsense account doesn't work. Google thinks I'm trying to scam them by creating multiple accounts because they have another account on their database with the EXACT same address and phone number.

It could be social engineering. Once the author got his address and phone number, I presume he just sent an official looking mail or made an official sounding phone call to have the documents mailed to him.

I just looked up the author. Here's his Linkedin http://www.linkedin.com/in/achaudhuri July 2010 – Present (1 year 7 months) specification, design, and implementation of ActionScript Well, that explains a lot now, doesn't it?

A strawman argument by an Adobe shill. Javascript and V8 aren't competition because they're faster, they're worthy competition because they're fast enough for most applications.

Honestly, that was a rubbish calculation! Price of the camera? Gas? Really? The thing with any service that is heavily dependant on the person that does it, is that it cannot be priced by anyone other than the person doing it. How can you p

Nginx + php-fpm is MUCH faster than a vanilla apache httpd + php stack. The magic though, is not just speed. It's also the feature-set. I'm working on a pyramid(pylons) project right now and will be using nginx to load-balance the wsgi ser

Earlier, nginx was used to handle just static content and passed the php stuff to apache httpd. These days people just use php-fpm instead so nginx can handle everything in a php based stack without needing apache.
