I have a printed book on AspectJ. Pretty sure it's past its "useful lifespan". As technologies age, so do anything that talks about them.

Plot twist: OP already found it and is planning his move. Seriously though: what is this "seed" and what would its disclosure mean for bitcoin?

Cooking when/where energy is scarce. Very useful to save on fuel while camping, for example. Also, I suppose, next time the electric grid is down and you want to cook on battery.

The cheapest electricity source is the one you already have: fossil. Also, what good is the added capacity if it's being used up by bitcoin? Everything you pour into btc isn't going into an EV. But so you think using more energy w

You're not seeing the big picture: what's the point of generating more electricity, if it's all wasted on creating useless bitcoin? Shouldn't we be capturing co2 or warming up children in need instead?

"Precious"? Bitcoin is nothing more than bits on a storage and wasted energy. Just like fiat money is nothing more (nowadays anyway) than metal coins, in the best case. I see how bitcoin can help countries with rampaging inflation

It is a possible attack though, isn't it? Even with a fully encrypted disk with LUKS, someone could replace your boot manager with a tool to capture your encryption key. For most people this will be a non issue: the cost of such an att

We developers are responsible for preventing that kind of obsolescence, and ultimately have the power to have a sizeable impact on bigger issues like climate change, pollution or even people dying in mines. Use boring tech, people.

Converting the CR2 (Canon) to DNG tends to double or even triple it's size, but I haven't tried compressing it afterwards. I should, as you suggest, test a more exhaustive list of formats, who knows...
