It using Linux shouldn't be an issue. You could use Wine and Proton to make the difference the same way Valve does. They purposefully hamper the systems though. So even a game like Destiny 2 is running at Medium settings on a datacente

Nah, in gaming communities and the "little-less than tech literate" crowd. View a Reddit thread. Not exactly representative I know, but pretty normie imo.

I agree that all of this info is public anyways - and back in the day I bet you could go to the library and look it all up. But having it blasted out on a public radio program every week is too much for me.

To be clear, no they don't post a mugshot for a traffic stop. I mean that for all traffic stops (or at least, quite a damn few) they will report the full name, and the crime which tends to be speeding or a traffic violation. One degree

The act of setting limits is incredibly important to a child's development, even more so than what the limits ultimately are.

Why does California have to be ideal to build a fab? A fab in California seems like one of the most worthwhile public works projects I’ve heard of in awhile.

Yeah ancient folks were still smart. Engineers and scientists of all sorts still. I think people often give way too much weight to intelligence, and not enough to just tools. Give a dude in 1000 a voltmeter and things get crazy.

High performing code doesn’t have to be hard to reason about. You wouldn’t say the plan for a safer building is harder to read. People excusing their poorly written code as “highly-optimized” is the oldest cop-out we’ve got as programmers.
