We've been using M2 Pro machines at our workplace and they still are fast, quiet and have long battery life even at ~85 percent of battery life. It would feel wrong to upgrade from these. 10 years ago it would've been a no brainer

Thank you for posting! I got a e-scooter this spring and wrote my own app for it after reverse engineering the official app + BLE logs. I am not brave enough to do anything with the firmware on it though. Maybe not yet at least

I recommend MacPorts, the migration is easy, you copy the package names you installed with brew, uninstall homebrew (there's an unisntall script on brew.sh FAQ section, it will also uninstall all homebrew packages (but not the casks))
