I've parsed a lot of logs for our SIEM - adding a JSON parser is usually the nicest, barring overly-clever nesting, which does happen.

I think people accept tracking because they feel like they don’t have a choice. But when the choice is as easy as a button, they happily opt out.

Thanks for expanding. I agree with your delineation between raising awareness or convincing, I think. I don't think it's the most helpful way to understand ads and their potential for harm. There's another way to categorize a

A scuba tank is like an hour of air for a person, less if you're stressed - and that doesn't look as large as a scuba tank.

They do this to me too every month, as the card on my AWS has expired, and they complain and complain and complain before finally charging the card on my Audible account. Definitely need to get around to separating those.

The link at [1] seems to be mostly about "pasture and rangeland weed control" with limited applications to forestry and crops. The examples for those are good, but seem at a glance application-specific. The most general recommenda

I'm all about regenerative agriculture, permaculture, etc. But I've never seen a solution to weeds other than to spend a lot of manual labor removing them. Is there a method that reduces the number of weeds that appear, or reduces

You should check out the book "Radicalized" by Cory Doctorow! It's four short stories. The first one - "Unauthorized Bread" was published online: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/01/

For sure, point well taken. There is a question of differing goals and values there between me and the "startup" or "get rich" people, I think, but I suppose we all have our own dogma in the end.
