Well, I was comparing it to something like Java. Though Python still scores far lower on my readability scale. It's seems like it's halfway to being minified, the lines are chock-a-block. Also, this is a better version in Ruby: file =

1) If you're reading bad code, that could be a problem. But 99% of Ruby code I read has been written by people who know when they need parentheses/brackets to make the code readable (e.g. when it's not the only code on the line.) But there

I really didn't like some of his examples (especially the part containing 'longer_than_5', that was hideous IMO!) He tried explaining Ruby's simplicity…by using some of the most confusing idioms. For example: array.select &:even?

I have no affiliation with AppSumo or GinzaMetrics. I just thought people might be interested in a great deal from a YC company.

That should work out at ~£4.5MM profit, after PayPal takes their cut and misc. bills are paid (e.g. bandwidth.) Not bad for a one-man company (until recently, anyway.)

1. Draw some ideas out on paper, and work out the minimal viable feature set. I try and convince all clients to do this, that way we can get something out the door ASAP, and then take a breather before adding the re

Also: whitelisting anyone with "googlebot" in their user-agent. That's like letting anyone in at the White House just if they turn up with an Obama mask on.

The current version ("741, 2.41") is nicer. I'm not a karma-whore, but it's nice to know where I'm at. One feature I'd love to see also, is the # of direct replies to my comments in the head bar. Also, while we're at it, a page listing them

Flask looks similar to Ruby's Sinatra: http://www.sinatrarb.com/ @OP: Personally I think Python has a lot of syntax fluff, whereas Ruby couldn't get simpler in that regard; even forgetting about the LOC and focusing on the respective DSLs

APR is pretty irrelevant for payday loans. If my math is correct, even at the highest quoted 462% APR, a £100 loan for 10-days would have a fee of ~£5. Compared to ~£16 for the rest of the payday industry, that's not too bad. In reality the

I don't see the problem here. If they allowed anyone to submit a title without any backing from a trusted name or company, or without it already being a working title, the quality of the site would soon drop off a cliff.
