Absolutely. Steve Jobs' vendetta came from the same rage every single other Mac user experienced, and what every iPhone user would face today if he hadn't said no.

In my experience, Ruby and number crunching just don't match. Python's not especially fast to begin with, but I've definitely found it to be faster than Ruby. Though I probably wouldn't choose Python for number crunching either. If I were e

How much effort does Apple put into securing the devices nowadays? The hackers seem to be getting quicker and quicker with each release, it's as if Apple isn't even trying anymore!

Convey works in any directory too, you just run `convey` within it. The `init` command just creates a skeleton file structure to get you started. Like the idea of using JSON to populate templates though, that's neat!

Very similar to a tool I created a while back: https://github.com/ashleyw/convey It's <100 lines of code, and really quite primitive; if you request hello.css, and that file exists, it serves that. If it doesn't exist, but hello.sass

Yeah, I'm assuming he was in a contract which kept him around long enough for him to be made interim CEO. From there, I'm sure he was confident he'd secure the permanent role before long.

Some people just don't like working for others, even if it's Apple. And that's amplified when you've got millions of dollars in the bank and have no need for a pay cheque to pay the bills. Do you think Steve Jobs would have stuck with Apple

The Daily Mail (and Sunday Mail) is a right-wing, racist, anti-science paper which goes out of its way to seek out inflammatory and exaggerated headlines to scare the public and sell more papers. I wouldn't give them the time of day.

Any semi-serious developer is going to use up the 5 private repos really quickly. 20 repos ($22/mo) is easily achievable for anyone who likes side-projects, and after that, larger plans are only "available on request". I wouldn't expect Git

Love the idea, though: 1) email me when new feedback is received, 2) let me reply to people's feedback, and 3) preferably don't show me sites I've skipped, and definitely don't show me sites I've already given feedback to. Good work!

It doesn't track model associations, so can lead to odd behaviour if you don't know the pitfalls. Hopefully having to enable it manually means those who do enable it have read up and know what to expect.

Cool site…did you have a source for the nutrient categories (e.g. Elements, Vitamins, etc.), or did you do that manually? Google Refine made the process of cleaning the data considerably easier, though it still took a few hours.
