There are functional Lisps, like Clojure or Shen, plenty of them are unopinionated / multiparadigm, like Emacs, Common Lisps

I am so excited to have a keyboard. I got my pinephone, and I didn't really think through how annoying sigils like $!@#$> are to type, and I am super stoked to have an emacs machine in my pocket

If your shoulders get tight from typing, consider using two keyboards or a (more expensive) split style.

Doesn't seem like it will prevent you from doing Language Oriented Programming, or advanced embedded Domain Specific Languages. Perhaps it's less ergonomic, I am not an R user. http://adv-r.had.co.nz/dsl.html
