Wow. I scored 34% on the second one, i.e. no better than random guessing. The last part that added the random noise to the faces didn't make a difference, since I already couldn't do worse at the task.

One thing to note is that the new version (v4) of the Sheets API can access the same fancy functionality that Apps Script can. So if gspread moves to that (which e.g. https://github.com/burnash/gspread/issues/

"I legally can't take part" is overstating the problem. It's not illegal for you to take part. What do you care if Google can claim ownership over the IP you create? And why would Google care to do so? The IP is for a th

As discussed in the article, cars have worse field of vision, drive faster, and cause significantly more damage when they mis-judge whether it's safe to proceed.

I'd think that the advantage of machine translation is on corpora that are not known up front (i.e. user-supplied text) or corpora that are exceptionally large. If you have a small (ish), well-known text, I don't think you will ge

Nope. Commuter service in Chicago is contracted out to big players like BNSF and Union Pacific. If they were to lose the contract to run Metra trains, they would be fine. And it's not like there's some other company or agency wait

The big problem with skywalks is that they result in the streets underneath them being empty (of pedestrians). This has downsides: - Empty streets feel less safe - Stores get less foot traffic - Cars are more likely to speed when th

The argument seems to be that if the added type system is not perfect, then it will be useless. For a working counterexample, see the Closure Compiler ( https://github.com/google/closure-compiler ), which adds a bolt-on,

You've just moved the line of argumentation: instead of "is the word in the dictionary we're using", it's "is that word a bullshit word" -- but only one of those questions is answerable definitively. The only way to play without argument is
