All Google is saying is if you don't allow us to do it, we won't allow you. So if FB wants to "protect its users data" then they should too. End of story. They didn't really do anything more other than news sites picking up the story and

Or you can do a QR code which will link directly to the app when scanned. Or you can make the link as a market intent so that android users who click on it, it will automatically launch the market app with the application in place. Or wait

IMO, Android is taking the right approach. 1) Developers will game the system. They give apps away for free to get good reviews and higher ratings. I am more generous on a free app than a paid app. 2) You are baiting users to get your app

Or maybe the AT&T network does not suck that much and the Iphone has always been the device terrible at making and keeping calls. AT&T has just gotten the bad rep from the apple fanboys all along.
