So if I understand correctly, "makemigrations" will convert all apps to use migrations except apps which were created using previous versions of Django?

Just shows how hard computer-generated music was, at one point in time. Today, it is ubiquitous and requires almost no technical computer knowledge.

I think Flat design is good from one perspective - easier to win client acceptance. The original Bootstrap is so familiar to everyone. Even non designers have a Deja Vu feeling - "Oh, this is a very cookie cutter look. Can we get somet

It is interesting to read how Haskell optimized the algorithm based on the instrinsic properties of the data structures. In contrast, C compilers leveraged on the knowledge of the underlying machine. It is amazing how far Haskell compilers

Sorry to disagree, but 1. The transcript of the entire slideshare presentation is below the slide. This is the case for every presentation on Slideshare and you can skim that if you are in a hurry. 2. I dislike content-stuffed powerpoint sl

Looks like a lot of good ideas have been taken from Emacs and applied to the windowing system; which btw is a great idea. Hope it is as scriptable and extensible as well.

I think the title is a bit leading calling him a "fan" of VB. I have the exact same views as Linus in that it was a great language to learn programming than teaching OOP to beginners with silly real world examples (Cars, anyone?)

I think every introductory programming language must make it easy to play musical notes with a command as simple as: PLAY "T180 DF#A L2 A L4 O4 AA P4 F#F# P4 O3 D" and draw simple shapes with a statement like: LINE

This has been a long awaited update for django-registration to make it compatible with Django 1.5's user model. To give some context, several people submitted pull requests over the last few months which were continually rejected. Glad

This is brilliant and looks much more comprehensive. My intention was to use Django to the fullest without the help of a third party library. Mainly to cover some of the recent features of the framework which were not covered elsewhere.

One of the endearing qualities of web design and development was how the source was open for everyone (HTML, CSS and JS). Developers could read the code, understand and remix each other's work. This helped in its rapid growth from a design
