I make, on average, 40K requests a month which is like $2 while my storage costs are ~$22. At the low end you'll be paying what seems like a lot for requests but as things scale your requests costs become a much smaller percentage. Yo

I like it quite a bit, Arq is my "backup of last resort" and what I use for provision new macs if they're not with me. I have daily/weekly/monthly local backups and semi-local, bi-weekly backups (stored offsite or

I use Arq[1] on my macs and it does the same thing but handles all the "complicated" bits that I'd rather be programmatically dealt with. I have 6 macs, about 2TB of backups in Glacier and a ~20GB "system image" ba

I feel as if half of Chrome "winning" is Google shoving it down everyone's throat across all their properties. Google.com: Internet feeling slow, use Chrome! CHROME! GET CHROME! CHROME MAKES YOUR DIALUP FEEL LIKE FIBER!!!!!!

And this is why I learned long ago how to defeat licensing myself rather than let someone else do it for me. Also why I use an active firewall.

Sometimes when I need a quick break at work, I'll pull up a fly-over in the Maps app and wander through a city. It is relaxing and pretty nifty.

You're not "installing" if you just run it from the DMG, so your point is moot

Actually everything says you can't do that with a zip. Custom background images and layouts are folder properties not supported by a zipped directory (or really any directory that isn't a DMG's top-level dir)

I don't know, my xcode builds 'release' builds directly into a customized DMG that has background / README / some extras + layout all set.
