It's pretty obvious that this delay is a pure marketing stunt. It's a pretty obvious one, but I mean, developing this title, you kind of have to!

Same here. Well, the phone didn't actually crash, but the app definitely did. I got a "Activity Color (in application Color) is not responding" Besides that, the interface is weird to say the least. It's got icons with no text so you have

Not all the transitions are linear. In the cases where they are, it's obviously a design choice. It might be that because they're moving fast that you perceive it that way. But most of the animations have easing. Ease in and out on almost a

This might be a coincidence but either I remember seeing that question on Quora, or it simply gets asked a lot. I also remember the answer about how things didn't work like that and I thought to myself "hmm, I agree, but he's not really ans

Weird how many negative comments you're getting. I for one absolutely love it. I think it's energizing and the awkwardness+energy is fun. It's definitely not the "typical SF thing" etc, but to anybody outside California, this feels refreshi

Well, I'll just paste instructions from a crack a friend of mine needed me to help him with: Install Instructions for Protools 9 • 0. Make sure you have gdb installed. Test by typing “gdb test” into terminal. 1. Uninstall any versions of P

Some pirated software and cracking patches rely on gdb. So a user has to have xcode installed in order for the cracks to work. At least, it's often a requirement. This might be to make that harder and to thwart software piracy up to a point

Isn't the biggest and most obvious sign when people outside of the industry get into the industry? As in when everybody's grandma had started investing in startups in 1999 and in the real estate bubble when everybody's grandma was suddenl

I could be mistaken, but I think he means that if you browse through some of the submitted designs on dribbble, you can see a clear trend of noise being added into many designs these days. Not dribbble's design itself (although, it DOES u

I can't believe I still can't purchase apps in the Android app store.. I only use ad-supported apps or free ones. I would love to spend money on android apps. But, I live in Iceland. Welcome to 2011.

You should check out some of his shows on http://thisweekin.com/thisweekin-startups/ - you can get a sense of who he is from watching a few. The general consensus on HN is that he doesn't treat people well or is somehow not very "honest".

The website looks really nice and I'm guessing those who are using many vendors will find this helpful. Will you be able to provide as detailed information about the EC2 billing as Amazon? (as an example)

How is swearing more meaningful than not swearing in a commit message? Perhaps some developers don't like the idea of the entire world seeing them swear at - basically - text.

Whatever your taste in ORM mappers, templating, localization and other "magic", you can get away without a framework, but you will (in one way or the other) need to do all of the following: - Define/create some controller or structure i
