Early Quora was remarkable by how many high profile people were answering. That was a big part of its early appeal. An example I still remember. Someone asked How much it cost for AOL to distribute all those CDs in the 90s... and Steve Case

Apparently med school applications were up 18% (in 2020). Which surprises me, I would think COVID might have scared more people off. https://www.ama-assn.org/residents-students/preparing-medica...

But there are more vaccinated people than unvaccinated people, so it’s proportionally not “almost as much chance”. Ultimately when enough of the population is vaccinated, you’d expect the majority of hospitalizations to be vaccinated.

Prob a few reasons. This was written in a very conversational tone. If he wrote it in a blog, it would read weird or he’d spend a lot more time on it. I’ve started blog posts before and just kinda gave up when it didn’t seem like it came t

What's your personal 'true' tax rate? Taxes paid divided by all income and all gains (unrealized capital gains, increase in real estate value, etc...). I'm sure you don't know. No one knows or has a frame of refere

Seems the solution to that (if u think it’s a problem) is eliminating step up basis. The reason that works is that basis is reset at death.

It conflates income with unrealized capital gains. You can make an argument that income and capital gains should be taxed at similar rates, but it feels like they are being purposely misleading in their presentation, when they use unreali

As others have said, I was simply offering a suggestion to help debug, not passing judgement on adblockers. I have had Safari open for 23 hours on my M1 MBP, and it is using ~800mb of memory right now. Extensions are the most likely culprit

Facebook and Instagram use carousels for their Stories feature. Google uses carousels for News stories and product results. Are they the exception and if so, why? Or are they not aware of the user data?

But there's a large exception. You won't be taxed on that amount. You presently get the first $23 million tax-free before any inheritance tax kicks in... and then only for the amount above $23 mil.
