I up voted you, because I agree with some of your points. But I don't agree with the rest of it. There are those, especially who visit this site, who are smart, have a lot of motivation, and want to do something great. Enterpreneurship i

"None of these reasons should have stopped any decent doctor from taking the path. " Here's part of the problem. You don't know what it's like to be a doctor, until you become a doctor. I think that's somewhat unique to the field. You ca

parents took it surprisingly well. don't think they would have taken it well if I had tried to quit years earlier. the site had grown pretty big/successful, and they mellowed over the years.

I started MacRumors.com in my 4th year of medical school, which is a very light year. And it grew in the following years. I quit in 2008 to do it (and other sites) full time.

It's the sort of thing you aren't fully aware of while you are in it. After I quit practicing, it really felt like an enormous weight had been lifted. Just due to the responsibilities involved. People ask me if I miss it. I do not. That

So, surprisingly, this rant is more or less accurate, imo. (I went to med school, residency, fellowship) I mean some things stronger than others, but it hits on the major negatives as you go through training. I know a lot of these rants te

So many problems with the headline and details. "24 hours" figure seems extrapolated from "All day use". No where that I could find did Intel say "24 hours". Just that slide that says "all day use". "Unlimited battery life" is based on th

Agreed. I'd suggest this irreverent style is cultivated/encouraged by Arrington. Would this have been posted under a more traditional editor's watch? I doubt it.

I'm not particular fan of Arrington, but I do think TechCrunch has shown with all its negative AOL postings is that it's not beholden to the hand that feeds it. You kind of jump all over the place with your points. 1. professionalism. Yes,

For me it's a volume/time issue. Responding to every email simply isn't scalable for one person. So either you hire someone, or you stop responding to every email. 25-50 emails/day sounds manageable, but is it manageable with 100 emails,

It's also easy to design a site to load fast without ads or widgets. Redesign TC's site to load fast with the same ads and functionality, and I'll be more impressed.
