It does not matter what recruiter says to his boss; what matters is that we will know this person and avoid all contact with him; it is not his boss (as if the boss cares) he should seek forgiveness from. Stan does not need forgiveness for

I don't understand why you felt necessary to leave out the recruiter name. I personally would really like to know this person and try to avoid her/him by all means possible, saving me (and all the others, who will know him) a ton

I don't get it: there is already a widely accepted 'better' Java called Kotlin, that features much more than this: way better integration with IDEs, way better integration with existing Java codebases, better everything... Ye

I wonder why nowadays anyone would choose React and give away all patent rights to the E̶v̶i̶l̶ ̶c̶o̶r̶p̶o̶r̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ Facebook (or not, in which case one would need to rewrite the app completely, since he cannot use React anymore). This

This idea itself is quite ironic in a self-reflectional way, given that "being offended by something" is also just another manifestation of how physics and chemistry work.

I have wanted to start a personal dev blog myself for quite a while, but each time I think of a suitable topic, I immediately recall an article or a post that is already better than anything I could write myself on the matter. If you think

TL;DR author provides an example of map, filter and reduce functions in JS. I have been wondering lately what is the value of articles like this. They do not convey any meaningful idea, they do not offer any useful insight on underlying mat

Because to support a language you need 2 things: 1) interoperability between existing ecosystem and APIs 2) development environment support. In case of Kotlin Google had to do nothing: Kotlin is 100% interoperable with existing Java code an

It is truly funny to see how instead of solving the root cause (airline shitty attitude to customers) you treat the symptoms (paying for the consequences of shitty attitude) thus making the root cause not only not going away, but make it ac

F# is completely not an alien in any regard, it is basically an SML (a language-predecessor of OCaml/Haskell from 90s) for .Net. I can say in the very same manner that Go is a total alien since it does not use Hindley–Milner type syst

Apparently the author still has a long way to go to become somewhat good, given how this link returns 502 on moderate load for a something like a simple blog. I also wonder if this discredits the article itself.

This snippet from the gist provided in the article says it all about any "optimizations" they might have done: path: production ? path.resolve(appRoot, 'public', 'webpack') : path.

What do you mean by inability to represent existential types? Kotlin has in/out/star projections, which are be used for corresponding Java variance. A note about Scala interop: forget the existential types, in Scala I cannot simpl

What about Kotlin? Its 1.0.0 has been recently released and comes as "pragmatic" Java, bringing a lot of useful features and having more concise yet readable syntax. Also, the Java interop is really good (better than that of Scala
