It's funny how this works. When Apple came out with the iPad Reddit absolutely hated it. No one would want it. It's a crappy product. Who even needs 4 iPhones glued together and so on and so forth. This all reads like that. It

Extraordinary post. To be honest, didn’t even strike me to use TPU for shear resistance. But of course. Good rookie tip among much in there. Fantastic work.

Seemed fine to me. It’s ask user question not the permission gate. Maybe there should be a new feature enabling warning or something but I think this is the right default. The models are good enough to just proceed with an option of their o

Pretty neat that the gallery of videos plays from where the previous one was paused. Nice UX.

Neat. I will implement something like this for myself. I just need to reduce the spam a little. Imperfection is okay for a social network context like HN.

It’s simply not a priority. The labs can do many things. Making text non-LLM is not really that useful. Analogous to Facebook not picking up the obvious $20 bill in front of them. It’s because they’ve got $100 bills at their feet they’re pi

It’s untrue. Unstated assumptions are the quality of housing desired and location desired. In practice, because of the rent/price ratio being low here in SF most people will be taking a downgrade when going from rent to 1.25x that as m

That's a valid point. I think that kids should be able to live with experimentation possible without consequences. In practice, most teens have smartphones now and are indiscriminate in recording them. If anything changes here it will

Huge fan of HTMX. Agent can reason about components well. Iteration is good and testing story is solid. Very happy with results. I use Rust/Go (prefer Go - safer package ecosystem - no build time code running) with HTMX.
