If you concentrate the sun to "4000 suns", you also need _far_ fewer panels, so I think this fear might be overdone.

Doesn't Trademark law operate on the basis of possible confusion? And I definitely see that risk there. IANAL though.

I think it's not entirely valid to generalize from one example to the "State of eGovernment in Germany". Don't get me wrong, it's not in a good state. But also not always as horrifying as this example. (And it'

So code fully optimized for ARM/Cortex-A15 is almost as fast as only partially optimized code on a 1.2 GHz i3? Well, good to know I guess.

Kind of interesting that these "corporate" bundles always remove the EFF from the list of charities.

I downvoted you because you're putting Monads on a pedestal and misrepresenting their purpose. When you mean IO (or perhaps ST and State) please don't say "Monads". Remember that [] is an instance of Monad too, and it ha

Even the most savvy computer user will make stupid mistakes... For example I once wondered why my display didn't work when I had apparently accidentally hit the "Input Source" button so the display was no longer set to DVI an

Kind of funny that Bill Gates would have reverted his position on patents. (But maybe Gigaom is misquoting there, maybe he is referring to "intellectual property" in general.)

rng-tools is supposed to feed entropy from a hardware random number generator into /dev/random, but feeding it /dev/urandom instead adds fake entropy.

That doesn't mean the designs cannot be improved... And once somebody releases an improved design, the older ASICs become far less useful.

Maybe you should look at i3, which allows you arbitrarily nesting tabs and tilings. (I myself use XMonad with tabs grafted onto it, but that's mostly because as a Haskell fanboy I can't not use XMonad.)

If Ubuntu hadn't abandoned Gnome 2, I might never have switched to XMonad. So thank you, Ubuntu. I'm also a bit surprised that the author of the article finds Mir to be a good idea. If they think a new display server is needed, th
