I’m sorry but this is the best way to objectively measure anything. Otherwise you are just holding up your vibes to refute my numbers which is completely unscientific.

I fear “we are not the richest country in the world” is an unreasonable standard for claiming chronic mismanagement.

But then where hasn’t been? When I was born we were poorer than all of France, Japan, and Italy on a per capita basis and now we are not. We have broadly kept pace with US growth since the end of world war 2. We have failed to figure out st

I am convinced that a lot of people have developed a completely distorted view of the UK by spending too much time on x.com where Elon Musk pushes his “come on, have a civil war already” bullshit and paints a picture of a country in its dea

This just feels to me like you’re starting from a conclusion (“the UK is being badly managed”) and working backwards in a somewhat nonsensical manner. Yes AI is new but it has contributed to something like 1/6th of total US economic gr

You’re just insane. It’s in the middle of the pack in the G7 in terms of size and recently at the top on growth. It does not have many problems that most other western countries do not also have. It’s significantly richer than Japan.

Doesn't really make sense in my opinion. Why boycott a specific group of people for their collective emissions when their individual emissions are lower than many others? The latter is the important metric, else you're simply puni

There's some instances of text illegibility that seems to be caused by buggy contrast detection and I think they'll probably fix that pretty easily since this is only the first beta. I think the readability concerns are really ove

There were, I think, fair reasons to do this. A patent-free "people's vaccine" may well have reached fewer people because there's got to be money in scaling up the production of something like this.
