The "meta" has been solved and everyone's just min-maxing now. The few who aren't min-maxing are considered a waste. AI, crypto, etc. feels like potentially new meta opportunities and it is eerie how similar the mania is

If companies truly believed more code equals more productivity then they will remove all code review from their process and let IC’s ship AI generated code that they “review” as the prompter directly to prod.

Nice. I’ve been meaning to build a similar list. Wanted to call it “proud to be AI .com” with a self-report form. Once all this is over, I want to know who cheered for this so I can try to avoid ever working for or with them. I don’t want t

I was implying it. Because recurring payments are such low friction today, there is very little to no incentive for creators to offer one-off options. For every 12 potential buyers who would scoff at the recurring payments, there is one who

Because modern credit card networks and payments gateways have virtually zero friction now so subscriptions are a no-brainer for everything. It takes the same amount of effort to setup a recurring subscription stack vs a one off payment.

IMO the problem has two parts to it. The platforms and the hardware that allows near constant read access to it and instant write access. Taking away the hardware half is easier and will have enough effect to force people out of the addicti

Once again I am hoping for a ban on _smart_phones. Not laptops. Not tablets (although those could get tricky I admit). Not dumb phones. Details will need to be worked out (like smart watches or future VR devices). Maybe a combination of: -

Uhh I kinda care? And some people do too? People have given software social permission so far. I have a feeling that it’s about to change. Engineers are thinking too narrowly about the effects of LLM assisted coding. They only see the shiny
