My approach to programming in 2024 is a bit different: When I want to code a new module, I start by talking to an AI about the requirements and let the AI generate the tests and the code. Sadly, the AI isn't capable of generating worki

You say 'unlikely'. But the real question is 'how likely'. Without accounting for the probability of such an event, the whole analysis isn't worth much.

Actually, this 'out-of-the-box' thing makes it complicated for me. Don't get me wrong; I like it when things just work. But when I already have a setup (e.g. traefik + multiple docker-compose environments), I do want to under

For those who are interested. Things that can change are: - ads are personalized (aka more relevant/powerful to make you want things). - The experience can become slower when accepting all cookies due to the overhead generated by exten

I hope the tracking script is automatically inserted. Teaching kids about tracking before teaching them what a head tag is should be considered an eternal sin ;-)

Currently, I am learning learning cards (like Anki) created by an official publisher. Together with the answer there was sometimes a 'reason'. What I found interesting, and what is actually related to this topic, is that this

My Firefox downloads the PDF, so it does not work. I am not sure, but it is possible that I changed the default behavior for PDF files because I didn't like the integrated PDF viewer. Nevertheless, I think this is a valid use case that

This is somewhat true, but where do we stand a decade after we got HTML5? Most browsers use Webkit/Chromium under the hood (because nobody wants to compete in the race anymore), and building a new browser from scratch seems impossible.

The graphics remind me very much of Netwars [1], although the controls of Netwars were a little bit better. However, this feels so good compared to some randomly generated universe, as you know that every star is something meaningful. And y

In 2016, I built a PWA that can synchronize using two different backends: AWS if the user doesn't care where the data is being saved to or WebDAV (in my case, a Nextcloud instance). Sadly, I built it in prototype style and didn't

Germans don't love bureaucracy; in fact, we hate it. But everything must be very correct and thought through, which leads to complicated laws. On top of that, we have some misplaced idea that everybody must have a lot of local laws. We

If you have an extensive demo page covering my use case, I would prefer a low-cost entry offer to use my Google account. Upgrading to a more expensive option later is usually not such a hard task for me when I really love the product. Latel
