Just from watching the video it looks great :-) What I like especially is the idea of teaching the keyboard shortcuts while using the software. In addition, the avatar mode sounds like it could be really fun. Any chance of increasing the si

I am very unhappy with this change. I always liked that I could keep my ebooks/Polar Libary in my Nextcloud, but now it sounds like that isn't possible anymore :-/ I tried the cloud version in the past, but it had only disadv

If you are wondering what all those files in /bin are, some of them exist, because they are part of the POSIX standard and have to be present in every POSIX compliant system. A good overview over these commands can be found here: http

In my opinion, the option -r should only be allowed as the last parameter. Maybe with the exception of -f. Everything else is just f *ing dangerous. I mean, I use the # hack sometimes too, but when I don't, I find myself often being a

While I agree that Bluetooth enables a lot of relevant use-cases with an open standard, I still see room for improvement: - I still hate that the listening experience degrades as soon as I want to use a microphone simultaneously - connectin

Well, I am not sure I understand what you mean. There are two distinct GPU Acceleration technologies at work here: - for videos - for website rendering AFAIK the video acceleration part is the big problem as the issue was ignored for many y

Another valid use-case is to use the hardware acceleration with your native video player. AFAIK, mpv uses youtube-dl under the hood to play youtube videos. For a long time the video acceleration in browsers wasn't very good for Linux u

If Wayland would work out the box, I would love to switch. Last time I checked (a few months ago), it didn't work too well for me and after a week or so I returned to my working X.org setup.

Does someone know why they don't split the cookie storage equally by the top origin? I mean, wouldn't that take care of a whole class of attack vectors and make cross-origin requests possible without having to worry about CSRF?

I like the notion of 'set -e' and at the same time I hate it. First, because it behaves inconsistently across shells/versions [1] and second, because it doesn't always work as expected. For example, when you depend on th

I wonder why OT is restricted to a central server. In 2016/2017 I wrote a Progressive Web App (PWA) for myself which uses an algorithm which probably fits the category of OT. It uses a WebDAV server for synchronization between devices.

I wonder a bit, that those POSIX comments are so far in the bottom of this discussion. I mean, you are loosing portability by using long flags (because it is not standard compliant) and yet it seems to be just a footnote in this discussion.
