I think this is a great move. Longer term it'll be better for Meteor, the team and the community. Ruby on Rails would be fine as an analogy here. The monetization model might be different from directly licensing and selling the framework, b

I, actually agree with the author. I am based in a city where entrepreneurship is not the common thing. My friends from that city told me many a times that I'd fail. Its painful. You need support on some days. And surrounding yourself with

Interesting. So emacs would be able to do this well I imagine. I'll look into the vi bindings support in PyCharm.

Non flame-bait question. I am mostly a VIM user. Are there people who do plug-ins on top of vim to get "similar" experience to PyCharm?

Good one Sayeed. :-) It was a rant. $5 pricing once a year. If that's outside of the affordability range, my business will be in trouble. Most people pay though, so I am not too worried. VC funded business is fine IMO, just be prepared if y

Piracy is quite common in India (both Businesses and consumers). I think piracy in other Third World countries as well (anecdotal).

I am not sure I follow your comment. For most startups, if I understand correctly, the founders get rich on a liquidity event - either the company getting sold or IPO'ing. So eventually you are going to flip, if things go well, right? Or go
