We use SNI SSL certificate (running on appharbor). On Windows XP and IE-8, there are issues with certificate detection. (There's no issue with the actual transport layer security - All data transmission is over SSL. In case you are interes

Yes, its more like a tax document issued by employer at the end of the year. - It talks about the Salary + perks + allowances the employer gave the employee. - It mentions the Tax Deducted at source by the employer for depositing to the gov

Here is a sample Form-16 explained: http://cleartax.in/Guide/understandingform16 (Its not a sample PDF unfortunately, but it shows what a typical Form-16 looks like)

Thank you for the feedback. :-) You are absolutely correct about users ignoring and mis-interpreting instructions, we constantly struggle with this. The suggestion is very good. I find the multi-year-dropdown cumbersome, but maybe it is mor

In India, a Form-16 is like a W-2 in the US. We have tried to make tax filing simpler for users, where they can upload the form-16 and get 90% done with their tax return preparation. Here's a sample Form-16 explained: http://cleartax.in/Gu

Empirically, the way to do really big things seems to be to start with deceptively small things. Want to dominate microcomputer software? Start by writing a Basic interpreter for a machine with a few thousand users. Want to make the univers

The part about being holed up in an apartment resonated with me. I worked for a startup in the valley and then moved to India to start a new company. So being in a place where running a tech company is not the default is a lot of friction!

I wanted to thank you for this comment. It blew my mind to some degree. For me there were three specific ideas to take away from this comment (which I am guessing you wrote in a few minutes). I loved the quality of the writing. Insightful,

The other thing I wonder about is that in 2040, will we be still worrying about buffer overflows?

Congratulations on the successful launch Elon and Team! Guys, don't beat up other startups and people on what they are doing or will do. Celebrate this for what it is.

Yes, the general opinion seems to be: Use Objective-C with the new Automatic Reference counting mechanism. iOS libraries - in your opinion - what are some good resources to get familiar? (Google-fu results in a lot of links to wade through)

David has written a bit about how they got their initial traction in his blog. Can you ask him to comment on how Weebly got their users later on - word of mouth (they have a very high net promoter score), SEO, etc? I am a huge fan of David.

Appharbor is awesome for .NET (as an alternative to Azure). The article does ring true that valley based consumer startups run on Python/Ruby more often. (I am really not sure about the "enterprise" ones.)
