Just wanted to take a second and thank you for Trello. It's a staple of my everyday life and helps me get things done. I'm sure you've heard those sentiments before, but I can't describe how much better it makes my work.

I find this issue very conflicting. On one hand, I disagree with the current governors assertion that the program is a failure. Change in standardized test scores seems like the wrong metric. Kids need to use computers because it's a s

A project I'm working on, Gridmaster, hit the frontpage of HN back in November. The traffic and mailing list signups were nice, but the product feedback we got was way more valuable. It helped us realize that a web-based version of our

Interesting - curious to get your thoughts on how posting to HN could enhance someone's financial stake in this. Given that the acquisition is already complete, that seems less likely to me. Now, if this was done with the intent to dru

Potentially fascinating precedent for other results that Google provides. I was thinking receny of how many searches now generate an answer without ever having to click through to a result.

Good feedback, thank you: it certainly means that I'm not doing a good job giving clues to AdSense what the site is about.

I hate to hijack, but I'm facing the exact same issue you are. The rates that I've heard quoted for AdSense just aren't happening for me. My rates are very similar to yours, samblr. I think that part of my problem (and it cou

You're not wrong, but if you are a top Senior Level exec being recruited and only one company threatened you with compensation clawback, would you be more or less likely to take that job over others?

I work in a much more traditional industry than IBM, but I've recently been humored by management's resistance to remote work while hiring personnel in India to handle the "transactional" work.

I'm ashamed to say I'm guilty of this. Unfortunately it takes the masses being encroached upon before we take it seriously.

Do you think it's a fantastic experience because it's simple? I know that most people that post on HN are early adopters and trend toward power users, but they also use a lot more apps in total than my casual computer-using friend

Well, it's a start? I know I'm not the first to stay it, but I'm still so shocked how limited the Mac App Store is. No trial versions, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, etc. This has led to companies like Bohemian (maker

Hard to imagine Tim Cook or Sundar Pichai being arrested. It's an even bigger deal in SK than either of those guys, where Samsung's role in the respective GDP is much higher.
