Yeah! But I read voraciously anyway. And also I've been working on my own projects this 2016.

I started Jan 2016 jobless, I still am. hence the long reading list! Apart from these I've read lots on AngularJS, React, Redux, Python. * The Short Drop (The Gibson Vaughn Series) - Matthew FitzSimmons * The Girl on the Train - Paula

I like the website. Haven't tried it out yet. I usually just whip up a good looking HTML page and then use wkhtmltopdf :p

I've been using Linux as my desktop for 10 years now. I really love it and can't imagine how people (especially devs) make do with Windows or Mac (To be honest I've never used a Mac). But here's to Linux on the Desktop!

Wow! So much in ES6?! I've added a bookmark to the online version in my bookmarks toolbar. Although I am sorry to day the digital version is just too costly. If it was cheaper like most of the books we get for kindle, I would have boug

I use Feedly pretty much everyday. A recommendation engine for news doesn't really cut it for me. But of course, it would be a good exercise in ML.

Same here. But I don't use a TLD. I name it after the app. So, crm_dev, app_dev, etc.

I'm currently developing a mobile app using React (web, not native). And I'm using the regular bootstrap. What advantage does react-bootstrap have? I seriously don't want to learn a new framework.

Classic sales talk, huh? Devs must be in the thousands, but the users of their apps might figure in the millions :)

Yes, my email going into their spam folder always worries me. I usually opt for an online application if they have one on their website. No wonder, lever.co seems to be doing well.

Is a reply really necessary. Granted, when a reply does come through (even if negative), it feels good that you've been noticed. I'm not sure how the hiring culture has changed recently, but I remember around 8-10 years back, I&#x

I can understand the depression. I was unemployed for 4 months in 2014, and went through a major depression. I couldn't even muster the energy to look for a new job, just the thought of looking into my Vim editor made me feel miserable

Great job! My current project involves a whole lot of SVG and I'm quite happy with the performance. I'm using the Snap svg library and some hard coded SVG. Perhaps d3.js is causing the dragging to slowdown? Have a look at SNAP.svg

Why am I being down voted? Is my comment not relevant at all to the topic? Why not just ignore my comment or reply with the advice? We need that new moderator quickly! :)

The headline is really wrong. Mozilla is shipping compiled and executable code to us. Now, if its Perl, I can confidently say I'm shipping Perl code to you. Small nitpick, I know :)

If it's a purely learning project for myself I would usually pick a new language which I would like to learn. If it's not, you owe it to your client to have an open discussion about which backend (and frontend) language to select.
