Interesting. Current syntax highlighting in emacs is mostly fine, except for how it occasionally blows up - an unterminated quote, in some languages, can run out and match the entire tail as a string, potentially freezing on a large file. P

Not at all, if anything the BoJ promises to maintain 2% inflation, the strength of their economy isn't even particularly relevant. Its drop in value may have overshot, so it might retreat up a little, but in general I wouldn't exp

Other central banks are other central banks. Their monetary policy does not affect Japan in the same ways the actions of the BoJ do. Weakening currency is (indirectly) more or less the point. Lack of monetary expansion may very well not be

I don't particularly disagree with any of this from the perspective of the Fed, but that is a different discussion entirely - the distinction *is* crucial for the purpose of answering the original question of 'how is inflation bad

It... sounds to me like you're agreeing? What you're describing in the second part of your post is exactly what I mean by supply side inflation. What's your issue with what I said?

(Much has been said in the other comments, but I find them mostly incomplete) > If inflation is caused by people having too much money then it is a self-correcting problem because as prices go up people will no longer have as much money.

The study is what it is, I'm not saying anything about its validity, we were talking about possible interpretations of it. The point is that we need to be careful not to take this data as implying that games cause better performance,

Top level players don't tend to do better on these than slightly above average, because reaction time is something you train for a specific task.

This is confused. Reaction time is irrelevant, you can still notice very short delays between two events. The fundamental issue is that when you make an input that corresponds to an action in a game, you expect that to action happen near-im

Wow, interesting! I love the testing approach, it's still automated, unlike something like AoC, but doesn't require the owners to run a whole program testing infrastructure.
