This brain map was constructed from fMRI scans of participants listening to fictional podcasts called "The Moth". The fact these words are all grouped together suggests a high level of `arousal` which may be related to an emotive

A few weeks doesn't seem like a long enough test period, as they've mentioned. Psilocybin creates new neural pathways in your brain. It would have been interesting too see if those pathways were better maintained in the active gro

In brave browser on Android I can't see any blue tiles to drag up / keyboard doesn't open. Not sure what the functionality is meant to be.

It would be possible to derive who the million dollar purchasers of bored apes are. Crypto has fiat on-ramps that are mostly controlled these days. And if the crypto changed hands in the meantime then it would be clear where it originated.

Surely development of the full fat clients will lead to the required innovations to provide light, mobile clients for blockchains that are properly distributed. I agree there are many scams but we really are in more of a research period wit

You could say that this new form of centralisation has the potential to allow governance systems that breakaway from, modify or usurp nation States. All of it being economically incentivised. This is pretty interesting IMO.

... happy path... Having come back to JS recently after years away I feel that typescript should be the recommended way of interacting with JS. It makes it much easier to write code with reduced bugs.

Ehhhh the extreme concentration of wealth in the minority? That said, it should be forbidden to emit this volume of emissions for the sake of so few people.

> If nothing can really stop people anyway, then what's the point of all this? Barriers to entry. Different services will require different levels of security. This might be enough for a simple poll app.

I don't know the link but it probably used features from a field called stylometry. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stylometry It's been used to discover the author of disputed novels from the past.

In the future I would expect Intermediaries will be smart contracts that lend your crypto on your behalf. Distributed reputational systems take care of the trust aspect. This could cost less than existing traditional lending systems.

I remember agreeing with most of this post when I first read it but I don't think we'll see a continuing dumbing down of code. Blockchain, whatever your view on it, is forcing a lot of developers to write low level code with an un

You create a decentralised service that crypto companies need, and then add a native token for governance. Governance token ends up having value (more than it should in a lot of cases) and the developers profit. For example, people initiall

I've spent a lot of time thinking about quitting and have had 6 jobs in 14 years. The first 1-2 years of employment is usually fairly interesting and then you hit a rut in which you're no longer learning, IMO.
