Absolutely. When my mom's instagram got hacked it was instantly apparent that the automated message it sent to me wasn't from her. Train an AI on our conversation history instead, and I'd likely click any link it sent me.

In this case it's both. Police are immune from violating your freedom of speech.

Love how the Roberts court treats corporate speech (absolute freedom) versus the speech of regular people.

I don't understand your comment. We agree that caste discrimination is bad and should be "left behind," but you don't want laws passed about that? It feels like you're saying "things should be this way, so I as

If things were totally different, things would have turned out different. There is a universe where the ecosystem would have led to faster development, and there are many where it would have led to slower development. This isn't an int

I wouldn't be so sure. That's exactly the kind of project my dad loves to do to his old cars. $2k isn't going to break even, but it's a nice little marginal incentive.

Is the $35 the amount the patient pays, or is it the total amount paid for the insulin? It's still a despicable racket if the patient only pays $35, but the insurance company is paying $500.

That’s why I said mostly. They have claimed there are some changes to the model, but in my testing it’s not a huge difference. True, it’s not free, but at like a penny per query with a signup credit, it’s pretty close

This kind of doesn't make sense. ChatGPT is mostly just their available davinci model but with a lot of extra work that has gone into the prompt. Negating that prompt so you can ask it about additional topics doesn't make sense.

I didn’t learn until late in life that you’re not dying of hypothermia in that water as I’d always been lead to believe. Your muscles get too cold to respond and you just drown. Horrifying.

In practice I do not think you are correct. I don’t want to name names, but revenue and growth over churn was one of the explicit directions of a startup I worked at. I agree with you that churn is important, but don’t think that’s a rule t

100-200k people a year is still a small fraction of top earners. You're looking at millions in the top 10% of earners.

If you can get paid 40% off for 100% days off then take it. I chose 80% for a four day week because you’re working 80% as many days. Your hourly rate hasn’t changed in this hypothetical.

I think the number of top earners that get their money from investments isn’t a very significant number compared to the top earners via labor. They might make a large percentage of the money in that top 10%, but there aren’t nearly as many

The math makes sense for top earners. If I can get my salary for time off that's usually worth it. Example: If I can get paid 80% as much money for a 4-day workweek, then I will take home 20% less money but I get 50% more days off. It&

I don't like that they're testing this out live. Do what you'd have to do if this were say a medical device: hire a retired judge or two and set up double-blind fake trials with AI or human representation. Prove it works, the
