All these "relive your memory" videos are incredibly awkward, because of how downright sad it is to strap this on your head during your kid's birthday just to relive it on repeat like Tom Cruise in Minority Report. The real u

I think it's more comparable to GPU naming. 40XX gives me the generation, and the XX part (e.g. "4060"/"3080 Ti", etc gives me relative the performance within that group. Except instead of something informative

So there's an M2 Ultra, M2 Max, and M2 Pro. I hate this naming scheme. It is totally unclear how you're supposed to order those in terms of performance.

I completely agree, but a lot of people in the US reflexively take a very negative stance on tech regulations. Look at discussion even here on HN about tech regulations like GDPR and proposed AI rules.

I have a basic python script running in one of my tabs on my CLI to talk to OpenAI. It's not even 50 lines. It's basically just a while loop for user input, which it then sends to the the ChatGPT API and prints the response. Add a

Studies saying that the "FDA is too conservative" does not mean that the optimal situation would be no FDA at all.

Maybe we disagree on a fundamental level then. Even though the FDA, NRC, FAA, etc overregulate and stifle somewhat, I think they are a net good and that a regulation-free environment would not be a better situation.

What do blink or webkit have to do with their comment? Regulations like this are designed to weed out scammers and charlatans and make the market better for everyone, hence "pest control." Think Theranos and the FDA.

Would you say the same things about FDA regulations? As a programmer who used to work on medical devices, these sound pretty similar like the FDA regulations we dealt with. The goal isn't to stifle innovation, it's to keep scammer
