Exactly. A better thermal profile, vandal/theft resistant, and lower all-in installation costs.

Doesnt an air gap have an even lower thermal conductivity? Conductive heat transfer is usually much higher than convective.

They're embedded in the masonry. When you buy a CMU, you get one unit. Yes, this has better thermal properties, and this also makes them more durable and theft/vandal resistant.

They don't need a crane. Maybe a confusing rendering for a future idea. They make tiles and cinderblocks, and yes, they have some interlocking features. And yes, the idea is that installation will be way easier and cheaper than first b

Wow, I was just talking to my dad about this. He runs a startup that builds PV-embedded vertical masonry[1], and they have been getting significantly higher-than-expected yield on their installations. Though in their case they were mostly t

That’s not how I read the second point. More low paid workers will of course suppress average wages, but that says nothing about the wages of an individual longitudinally

I have found myself pirating more and more. Netflix and co aren't just losing on the available content and the price, the actual browsing experience is far better on the illegal streaming site I use.

That's sort of built-in already. To stay in Germany for the requisite five years, you're likely going to need a sponsored visa or some other kind of job-based visa (e.g. their freelance visa).

I don't think the "hardcoded" part is at issue here. If this wasnt a MySQL database but an API that exposed other customer information, he would have the same moral duty to disclose and the same legal liability, I think.

What's important is what you can use to cool it. Using helium to cool traditional superconductors is expensive and bulky. If we can cool superconductors with small Peltier coolers or your traditional fridge setup, that's a huge ad
