No language will magically give you maintainability. I've worked on several year old golang projects and they've been terrible, made worse by the fact that golang doesn't scale well for teams or larger programs.

I'm not the person you're replying to, but I've had similar experiences with larger programs in golang. It's quite terrible to deal with, and overly verbose. I'd say anything more than 2000-3000 lines and golang bec

It's a very mediocre language with many poor design decisions. It only got traction because of the Google name behind it (it's predecessors designed at other companies were barely recognized). It's ok for writing small tools

golang is anemic in front of Java (the JVM, the language, and the ecosystem) and introduces its own set of gotchas. Once Java gets green threads (by means of Project Loom), golang will be an extremely difficult sell for anyone considering a

If Uber/Lyft/DD are forced to shut down, then there won't be any more drivers/delivery people to benefit. It's not for nothing that CA decided to back down after Uber and Lyft threatened to stop service in CA after

Instead of CA requiring private companies to cover health costs, they should step in to lower them and to provide coverage for the residents, it's as simple as that.

It's quite telling how the CA government backed out the moment Uber, Lyft and gang threatened to pull out. They're theatrics that expose the empty arguments they're trying to pull off under the guise of "fairness" a

Europe (especially the Scandinavian countries) are nowhere near as socialist as Sanders is claiming. They're more capitalistic than socialist.

That's one problem with voting in the US. It seems that the democrats do not want people to use ID (e.g. a drivers license) when voting. It seems quite obvious that it will prevent voter fraud. They keep pointing to Europe all the time

How is this level of incompetent management and spending tolerated? Yes, provide housing for the homeless, but who thought it was remotely a good idea to waste money like this?
