Why is it ironic? It would seem to be ironic if they put ads in their models to say they won't put ads.

I haven't been able to install an iOS simulator past iOS 18 for the past 6+ months, and others have this problem as well (from Apple forums).

I have a few qualms about rclone: You can already perform parallel transfers quite trivially by typing "find .. | xargs -P$(nproc) -n 1 rsync ..", carefully managing sync folder sets and just being a Unix god in general like me. I

Does using FSRS result in less retention, due to scheduling less reviews than other systems? Or is it actually more efficient in a meaningful way by cutting out unnecessary reviews?

This seems expected, when you install free, random software, especially from sources known for surveillance/malware/crime.

Fellow idiot here, and the gist seems to be: Here's a 4K enabler that only enables 4K where it's already enabled.

I ditched all my HM chairs for a standard wooden chair. They just never felt right (maybe the non-forward-adjustable armrests had something to do with it), but boy are they good at selling you an expensive fantasy.

What's a convenient and safe way to open PDFs safely? Some options seem to be: Upload to google drive (inconvenient), use some open-source tool (LLM suggests DangerZone), use a VM (very inconvenient)

I usually left the monitor-to-MBP cable plugged in, but I did have some minor finicky connection issues at one point. But that was nothing compared to the monitor actually dying. The monitor setup seemed like the ideal solution, less cables

Were you running high loads? I ran heavy, constant gaming loads with the monitor on (monitor specs say typical 140W, max 200W). After switching to the MBP charger, haven't had an issue for 5 years. So it would be drawing 200W constantl

Ah, I had the same issue, I bet you were powering laptops through the monitor. See my comment on this post.

I had to service the UltraFine 5K twice before realizing that using it to power the Macbook was killing it (seems power delivery overload). Hooking up the Mac to its own power fixed it. Anyone else experience this?

His 'apologish' is basically the same as his original flamepost, but dressed in PR. He places all blame on the user, basically calling him a dick again, and re-brags about their thousands of users, while attempting to sound noble.

Is your argument that we only want things that are hand-crafted by humans? There are lots of things like perfectly machined nails, tools, etc. that are much better done by machines. Why couldn't software be one of those?

On the flip side, it can be good for the environment. Instead of spending tons of resources burning a car or doing a bunch of setup to get a shot, we can prompt it using relatively fewer energy resources.

I'm confused– you wrote as if you didn't have competitors and had a new category, but it seems like you did have competitors, and just changed the pricing from variable to flat-rate pricing. Wouldn't that mean that you did en
