There's so much text but nothing that clearly says what it is. Is it HTML and its contents (e.g. images) in a binary format?

I've read thousands of HN posts and comments, "just in case" it'll be useful someday, but I'm not sure if my life would have been meaningfully worse had I lived under a rock instead.

I like the idea of the term, but would want capture these: 1. Refinement, where things are made super-concentrated and pure 2. Supernormal stimuli, where the effect becomes unnaturally intense 3. How easy it becomes to consume the result So

Humans can likely be cloned too. Imagine 10,000 Albert Einsteins and John von Neumanns working together with modern AI on medical, scientific, and societal issues. Though there could be an Evil Einstein due to upbringing or something.

This is so lame, it seems like a small number of pedophiles have forced us to deal with all this age verification stuff. Porn has always been around (national geographic, anyone), and parents can use screen time to limit access for their ch

My prescription recently changed and I would have needed contacts again. Permanent solution to a potentially changing problem doesn't sound good.

There's a niche in TikTok content about corneal neuralgia. People who got LASIK, but the nerves didn't heal right afterwards. The result is permanent, severe eye pain for the rest of their lives.

Salary positions at most companies will have a nice laugh, then move on to the next candidate. I think being able to do this is exceedingly rare.

Same answer as for most hope-filled employee questions sadly: You get to keep your job. You agreed to accept X pay for 40 hours, do it or we'll find someone else who will.

As a TS dev also who wouldn't really think to consider Elixir, that's interesting. To sum it up, it seems that Elixir naturally provides the distributed routing and computing model needed for realtime communication, while you'

Thanks, interestingly Elixir handles concurrency in what seems like a natural way, actors passing messages to each other. It's cool that this way is used in production, though it seems to be used mainly in niche distributed scaling.

Really interested in hearing more about the architecture. Especially (1) why you chose Elixir, Phoenix over TS (2) how you dealt with real-time multiplayer. Aside: The links to the web game in the post don't lead to being able to play.

If a human can learn from existing art and information, how is that different from an AI learning on the same? Or replace AI with a new sentient being that is discovered. What one does with the learning seems to be the issue. If a human exa

I was surprised to find out how much hate there is for AI in art. An artist, Yuumei, is the perfect candidate to use AI– drawing by hand since early 2000s, wrist injury precluding heavy work. People seem to think art should be done only by

Let's start by banning words like 'pediatric' instead, which directly reference children and are thus more related to pedophiles. We can just call people 'doctor/dentist for small people'.
