Totally. I actually don't know how people that work in big enough organizations can possibly not like Jira (or a tool like it). I would go crazy with the amount of things I would have to remember, their status, how to prioritize, how s

I would say a good path for it is to first prove yourself and then ask to work less hours. I’ve seen that work a couple of times.

How do you roadmap seems to be a question about the process not the tooling. I find the former much more important than the latter. As far as tooling goes, smartsheets sucks and omniplan is really good !

The person at ~15k/month (which is a really good salary) wouldn't only be doing that. I maintain a lot of tools that would cost 1000x if we paid subscriptions per user @ SaaS and it probably takes me 1-2 days per month. We're

This looks really cool. Would you include dev apps in the mono repo too? Say you have 40 services by 20 different teams.

if you know systemd, one of its many functions is a single stop systemd controller for all of your infrastructure. Then it also gives you a single way to control storage, monitoring, load balancing and deployment from a single API. It'

The book "Art of Happiness" surely agrees with this title, it has the points of view of science and religion (Buddhism) on it and reaches the same conclusion. Great book.

You can tune how the linux memory allocation works, I've done some changes in a couple of servers (couldn't find which settings in the 60 seconds I google), might be worth investigating in workstations too. (Not saying it is ergon

I like it. I don't use facebook/instagram very often (open maybe once a week?), all my interactions with people have been through stories this year. I like that it is a DM when I reply and that I can easily skip, I also like that
