So the 'world's most brilliant entrepreneur' paid 44 billion - about twice as much as its estimated worth at the time, though much less that that now - to own the Twitter brand, only to toss it out within a year. Arguably the

I'm a long time Reddit user, joined around 2008. I absolutely love it, it's pretty much the only social platform I frequent and engage in every day. How many platforms exist where users stick around for 15+ years? All the stuff th

I take your point, but my issue is more with the fact that I can point to the recipient email address of the email and make a pretty good case that my name, address and email address all originated from iFit, either by them selling my data,

I'd say that's a pretty good guess. I absolutely signed their ToS and I for sure did not read any of it before signing, so egg on my face. But if this is in fact what happened, I'd be curious to know how much money my name, e

Sucks for sure, especially not knowing the origin. I reported it to iFit via Twitter DM, but that didn't really go anywhere. I'll try official channels tomorrow, just in case, but I won't be holding my breath.

Oof, that doesn't sound promising. I contacted them via Twitter DM, but they brushed me off. I doubt I'll fare better via official channels but I'll try tomorrow.

Agreed, that makes the most sense to me too. Which, if true, would be pretty bad. Besides contacting iFit, any suggestions on how I should proceed (if at all)?

Fair point. But email, full name and address? That does not seem sustainable for the long term to me.

That was exactly my impression, so thanks for clearing that up. Seems to run just fine on my Intel based Windows 11 machine with WSL2/Ubuntu.

Hey, just wanted to say I appreciate you sharing this insight. I still miss Reader even though it's been 10 years (10 years, holy crap), but this at least explains the 'why'.

It's mildly ironic that it is now 9 days later and I still have this thread open in a tab so I can 'get to it later'. Sigh.

Completely unrelated but that YouTube ID is (mildly) interesting in that it's almost pronounceable.

Wow. This is insanity. I really fail to understand Musk's end game here. You'd almost think running Twitter into the ground is the goal.

Excellent! I noticed some beautiful scenes on your twitter feed, it would be nice if I could pass the seed in the URL to just jump in (if that's how that works). Well done!

Lots of space game related comments, but none seem close to what I would like, so here goes. I was absolutely blown away by the first part of the 2017 VR game Lone Echo, where you're an android called Jack, and you're helping your

You made me breathe a sigh of relief. These 'x has been acquired by Y' alerts usually don't seem to end so well, so I'm hoping that's not the case here. Regardless, I'm happy for Chris, he deserves it.
